What the event is all about
Have you ever sailed with one of the worlds top 49er helmsmen or raced against the world champion?
Advantage invite you to a social and sailing weekend with Australian 49er teams competing in this years World Championships, being held at Lake Garda, Italy.
Two boats skippered by current world champion Nathan Outerridge, and title contender David O'Conner, will match race each other over a short course set on the beautiful Sydney Harbour. There will be other Australian team mates on hand to talk shop, while watching the races as they unfold.
We need you. An invitation is extended to experienced 49er and 29er helmsman and crew to join either Nathan or David as crew,
as they battle each other over two laps. Registered participants will be drawn from a hat each morning, and handed their passport to race. In total, there will be 50 lucky sailors who will experience life as a world title contender.
Your race will be captured by our sports photographer, where you can later browse and purchase that shot you have always dreamed about.
Of course, bring your family and friends. Register the support you may bring so we can accommodate all on spectator boats.
Food and drinks will be available from the clubs cafe.
